Azerbaijani judokas performed successfully at the III Universiade of Turkic-Speaking Countries held in Cholpon-Ata, Issyk-Kul region of Kyrgyzstan.
Idman.biz reports that each of our 9 athletes who went to the competition won a medal.
Our representatives won 4 gold, 3 silver and 2 bronze medals in the multi-sport tournament.
Nurlan Karimli (-66 kg), Jasur Ibadli (-90 kg), Konul Aliyeva (-48 kg) and Sudaba Aghayeva (-70 kg) rose to the highest step of the podium. Bahadir Feyzullayev (-60 kg), Mehdi Abbasov (-81 kg), Gurban Mammadli (+100 kg) won silver medals, and Mehdi Jafarov (-73 kg) and Ali Gazimammadov (-100 kg) won bronze medals.
It should be noted that our judo team took 3rd place in the team standings with 9 medals in the end.
