The magnificent four-day sports festival - the European Cup in Rhythmic Gymnastics has come to an end at a high level.
Idman.Biz reports with reference to the press service of the Azerbaijan Gymnastics Federation that this prestigious competition, held for the third time in our country, was once again remembered for unforgettable performances, exciting moments and colorful programs.
Graceful gymnasts from 32 countries presented the audience with a true work of art.
Musical compositions, specially prepared dance elements and surprise flash mobs appealed to the tastes of viewers of all ages.
Azerbaijan was represented at this prestigious tournament by both individual and group exercise teams. It should be especially noted that our national team in group exercises performed for the first time at this competition with a new team. It was the first and great experience for the new team.
Cross matches between teams in the youth category became one of the main innovations of the competition. In the youth age category, Azerbaijan and AIN 2 teams competed in a cross match in the team standings. The AIN 2 team advanced to the next stage. As a result, AIN 2 took first place, Bulgaria took second place, and Israel took third place.
On the second day of the competition, gymnasts in the senior age category performed with ball and hoop, and on the third day with clubs and ribbon programs. According to the results of the qualification stage, the 16 strongest gymnasts qualified for the "cross matches" stage and competed from the 1/8 finals to the final.
At the end of the tense final stage, Israeli representative Munits Daniela became the winner. Ukrainian Onofriichuk Taisiya took second place, and Italian Raffaeli Sofia took third place. The medals were presented to the winners by AGF Vice President Altay Hasanov.
In the group exercise competition, the Bulgarian team won the gold medal. Israel took second place, and the AIN 2 team took third place. At the award ceremony, the medals were presented by the President of European Gymnastics, Minister of Youth and Sports Farid Gayibov.
At the end of the competition, two special nominations were also presented by the organizers. Raffaeli Sofia was awarded the "Cross Battle Queen" for consistently participating in the European Cup competitions and showing stable results, and the Venezuelan team was awarded the "Breakthrough Team" nomination for joining the European Cup from another continent and performing in the group exercise program.
Thus, this delicate and magnificent struggle, which lasted 4 days, has come to an end. The National Gymnastics Arena witnessed the energy and enthusiasm of the audience throughout the competition.
