Newcastle are interested in signing Villarreal striker George Mikautadze. According to Sport24.az, the "Fichajes" portal has reported on this.
According to the source, the Spanish club intends to increase the transfer fee for the 25-year-old Georgian footballer from 60 million euros to 75 million euros to keep him at the club. Newcastle, on the other hand, is currently ready to pay 55 million euros.
Note that the striker's current contract with the club is until the summer of 2031. He joined Villarreal from Lyon in the summer of 2025. Mikautadze has impressed in the 2025/26 season, scoring 17 goals and providing 6 assists in 43 appearances.
