The country championship among athletes born in 2010/2011 has started with the organization of the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Azerbaijan Athletics Federation.
Idman.biz reports that Konul Nurullayeva, vice-president of AAF, and Sevda Mirzayeva, sector manager of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, who spoke at the opening ceremony, wished the participants success.
In addition to the representatives of the capital, more than 170 athletes from Ganja, Nakhchivan, Mingachevir, Ismayilli, Khizi, Guba, Khachmaz, Astara and Barda are competing in the competition. In the national championship, the strongest in these age categories will be determined in various distances of running, long jump, high jump, hammer throwing, discus throwing, javelin throwing and shot put.
It should be noted that the competition, which is held at the stadium complex of the Azerbaijan Sports Academy and the AAF's Throwing base, will last for 2 days.
