France and Arsenal defender William Saliba has opted not to undergo surgery despite suffering a spinal injury.
According to information from İdman.Biz citing L’Équipe, the Frenchman will instead undergo a long-term rehabilitation program, which will keep him out for several months.
It was previously reported in the media that Saliba suffered a severe spinal injury two months before the start of the 2026 World Cup, but still played in the tournament, taking painkillers and receiving specialized treatment every day.
The defender played six games during the tournament and was injured in the 30th minute of the final game, losing 2-0 to Spain, and left the field.
