"The contracts of the head coach and players expired on May 31. It's a professional club, and the players want payment. Since these were not foreseen in the budget, we had to let them go." These words were said by Mahmud Sadigov, the vice-president of "Araz-Nakhchivan," which lost to PFL in the final of the futsal national cup, in his statement to Sport24.az.
Evaluating the decisive game, Sadigov emphasized that the schedule was determined by the federation, and therefore they were forced to enter the final match with local youth:
"We knew it would be difficult. We went to the field and played as much as we could. The opponent's squad is strong. I felt that our futsal players were tired after the first half. It is difficult to fight with 5 people until the last second. The federation determines the final match of the cup. When we signed contracts with the players, we intended it until May 31. If the time of the match had been clarified in advance, we would have signed an agreement with them until June 15. Fate is such. I congratulate the opponent."
It should be noted that PFL won the Azerbaijan Futsal Cup in the final, defeating "Araz-Nakhchivan" with a score of 7:1. The representative of Nakhchivan became the champion of the current season.
