The Minifootball World Championship kicked off today in Baku.
According to Report, 8 matches were held on the first day.
In the opening match of the World Cup held at the National Gymnastics Arena, the Chad and France teams faced each other. In the Group B match, the Europeans celebrated a 1-0 victory.
Then the field was given to the Turkish and Hungarian national teams. The winner was not determined in the Group C match, which took place in an environment of mutual attacks - 1:1.
The third match of the tournament fell on Group D. Here, the fans witnessed the game between the national teams of Portugal and Bulgaria. The match ended with a 3:1 victory for the former.
Then, the first big victory of the World Cup was recorded. England took the lead in Group C, defeating Ukraine with 4 unanswered goals.
One of the results that could go down in history was experienced in Group D. Here, Slovakia showed its ambition in the World Championship by winning 15:0 over the Indian team.
After a few hours break, the long-awaited moment arrived. The fans watched the magnificent opening ceremony of the Minifootball World Championship held in Baku. In particular, the performance of the famous French freestyler, world champion in this sport, Arno Garnier, and the songs of the famous Turkish singer Aleyna Tilki and People's Artist of Azerbaijan Aygün Kazımova stirred up the arena.
After the event, the Azerbaijani national team played its first match in Group A. Although the team that faced Bahrain opened the scoring, they could not keep the result - 1:1. Thus, the national team led by Elshad Guliyev started the World Cup with a loss of points.
In the seventh match, the Romanian and Uzbek teams tried to determine the stronger. The Romanians, who won the Group B match with a score of 2:1, managed to add 3 points to their assets.
In the closing match of the day, Mauritanian and Slovenian football players clarified their relations. The winner was not determined in the duel of the teams competing in Group A, where the Azerbaijani national team is located - 1:1.
It should be noted that 8 more matches will take place on the second day of the World Cup. The World Championship will end on June 1.
