The President of the Turkish Minifootball Federation, Cem Durul, stated that they felt at home at the World Championship held in Baku.
The head of the organization said this in an interview with "Report".
"I sincerely congratulate our brotherly country Azerbaijan for the magnificent organization. They have really prepared excellently for the World Cup. The most beautiful of the world championships organized to date is the one in Baku. I say this with all my heart. I express my deep gratitude to the Azerbaijani people. They supported us until the end in the game against Ukraine. Thanks to this support, we felt like we were in Turkey. Azerbaijan and Turkey are 'One nation, two states'," said C. Durul.
He shared his thoughts on the second match of Group C, where they defeated Ukraine (3:1):
"We had prepared well against this opponent. In our first match in the group, we managed to get 1 point from Hungary, the third-place finisher of the last World Championship. The victory over Ukraine greatly increased our chances of getting out of the group. We are very happy to have won."
