Elshad Guliyev, the head coach of the Azerbaijani national minifootball team, participated in a press conference held in Baku before the World Championship. Sport24.az reports that the specialist stated that good conditions have been created for the national team to prepare for the World Cup:
"The federation has created all kinds of conditions for us. We have also prepared well. Our team is fully ready. The burden of playing at home is heavy. The responsibility is doubled. Everything depends on the first game. A good start can play an important role in going further in the World Championship."
Elshad Guliyev spoke about the 2023 World Championship held in the UAE. The head coach said that the team was not psychologically weak in that tournament:
"I wouldn't say that we lost psychologically in the World Cup. It wouldn't be correct to say that. Although it was our first time participating in the World Championship, we prepared well. Football is a game built on mistakes. We could not reach the final due to individual mistakes. Two years have passed. We have worked on this to reduce mistakes. Reducing mistakes will help us achieve good results. We are also ready psychologically. We were also ready in the UAE. We lost the match we won."
