According to "Report", this was stated by the head coach of the Azerbaijani national minifootball team, Elshad Guliyev, in a statement to journalists after the match against Bahrain at the World Championship held in Baku.
The expert commented on the match that ended in a draw:
"I knew in advance that the first game would be difficult. Because we are the host team, our opponents are preparing more responsibly against us. We want to finish the group in the first place by performing successfully in the next matches. When the national team became the European champion, we lost to the Romanian team in our first match of the tournament. I wouldn't say that we performed badly today. We just didn't get lucky. We had many opportunities to score. Unfortunately, we could not take advantage of any of them."
It should be noted that in the Group A match, the national team agreed to a 1:1 draw with Bahrain.
