Farid Abbasov, a member of the Azerbaijani futsal national team, spoke about the friendly matches (1:4, 4:2) held with the Danish national team. Sport24.az reports that in his statement on the website of the Azerbaijan Futsal Federation, he said that the second friendly match with this opponent went well:
"First of all, I thank our fans who came to the arena to support us. There were two different games. In the first match, our mistakes were decisive and the opponent took maximum advantage of it. In the end, we lost. Considering that the national team has not played a game for more than 8 months, and new futsal players have been involved in our team, it is somewhat understandable. The head coach analyzed the game, showed us our mistakes and gave us instructions for the second game. We fought as much as we could, and the ending was great for us."
The young player also spoke about the goal he scored and the assist he gave in the second match against Denmark:
"Scoring a goal and making a productive assist is the result of fulfilling the given tasks. The head coach always advises that if you believe in yourself and that you can pass the player, try and use your individual qualities. During the goal assist, I also saw that I could pass the opponent, and I continued until the end. This victory was key for future games. The main thing is to believe in ourselves and work hard."
It should be noted that in the match held on January 22 with the Danish national team, the opponent won 4:1, and 2 days later - on January 24, the Azerbaijani national team won with a score of 4:2.
