"Winning was very important for us. This was also our first match after the winter break," said Kapaz player Rauf Huseynli in an interview with Sport24.az.
The 26-year-old midfielder shared his thoughts on the away match against Qarabag in the 17th round of the Misli Premier League, which they won (2:0):
"Starting the second half of the season with a victory will give us extra motivation. Every point gained is very valuable. That's why we were very happy as a team. But now we have to forget about this game and focus on the next match."
Huseynli said that they believed in victory in that match:
"We knew it would be difficult. But we go out to every game to get the maximum result. I watch every game of Qarabag in the UEFA Champions League. They represent Azerbaijan adequately in the international arena. We also watch and support them. They have the last matches in the main stage left. I wish them success in the game against Liverpool. We believe that they will achieve a good result away. Because they have shown that they can play a good and disciplined game against every team."
