"Winning was very important for us. It was also our first match after the winter break." These words were said by "Kapaz" footballer Rauf Huseynli in his statement to Sport24.az.
The 26-year-old midfielder shared his thoughts on the match in the XVII round of the Misli Premier League, in which they defeated "Qarabagh" (2:0) away:
"Starting the second half of the season with a victory will give us extra motivation. Every point earned is very valuable. That's why we as a team were very happy. But we must already forget this game and focus on the next match."
Huseynli said that they believed in victory in that meeting:
"We also knew it would be difficult. But we go out to every game to get the maximum result. I watch every game of "Qarabagh" in the UEFA Champions League. They represent Azerbaijan adequately in the international arena. We also watch and support them. They have the last matches in the main stage left. I wish them success in the game with "Liverpool". We believe that they will achieve a good result on the road. Because they have shown that they can play a good and disciplined game against every team."
