Draw ceremony of "Heydar Aliyev Cup" held in Nakhchivan

The futsal tournament for the "Heydar Aliyev Cup" dedicated to the 102nd anniversary of the national leader Heydar Aliyev will be held among the employees of state institutions operating in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.

İdman.biz reports that 17 teams will compete in 4 groups in the competition jointly organized by the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, the Association of Football Federations of Azerbaijan, the Azerbaijan Futsal Federation and the Nakhchivan Football Federation (NFF).

Today the draw ceremony of the tournament took place. Taleh Ibrahimov, the head of the department of the Ministry, greeted the representatives of the teams participating in the event and said that the memory of our national leader is always cherished for the sports community, and a series of events are held every year related to the birth and commemoration days of the great personality. Emphasizing that the futsal tournament has become a tradition in this regard, the head of the department emphasized the importance of the competition. Arif Khudiyev, the vice-president of NFF, expressed his belief that the competition will be fair, and informed the participants that referees from Nakhchivan will participate in the game management, and that the control over the rules will be carried out by the Organizing Committee of the tournament.

Information about the tournament regulations was given, and questions of interest to the participants were answered in detail. Then the draw started.

It should be noted that the tournament, which will start on May 10, will be held every Saturday at the Ilham Aliyev Olympic Sports Complex. The teams that take the first two places in the groups will continue the fight in the play-off stage. The top three teams in the competition will be awarded diplomas, medals and gifts, as well as the main prize - the "Heydar Aliyev Cup" - to the winning team.
