Azerbaijani Minifootball National Team Player: "I am confident that we will beat England in the quarter-finals of the World Championship"

Khatai Bagirov, a member of the Azerbaijani national minifootball team, believes that they will defeat the England team in the 1/4 finals of the World Championship held in Baku.

In an interview with "Report", he said that they have endless confidence that they will advance to the next stage.

"Our only thought is to win. We have prepared well, we have reached the 1/4 finals. Our team is in ideal shape. Our confidence is endless, I hope we will move to the next stage. We have no other way. I believe that we will defeat the England national team in front of so many fans," said the football player.

X. Bagirov emphasized that they will play against a physically strong opponent:

"The Azerbaijani national team is very good tactically. The opponent feels comfortable when they play against us in this way. The England national team is different. They are physically very strong, they don't stop, they don't get tired, they are always in motion. It is difficult to play against such a team. We will try to show that we are not behind them physically. The head coach gave his instructions during training yesterday. We will try to keep the England national team without the ball. In fact, with the exception of the Romanian national team, we thought about which of the other teams we could compete with, and it came true. We only didn't expect the Romanian national team to get out of the group with difficulty, in second place. We analyzed each of the opponents. I believe that we will continue our success."

He pointed out the Serbian national team as the main opponent in the World Championship:

"I would point out Serbia as the main rival for Azerbaijan in the World Championship. It is a strong, experienced, high-quality team, the current European champion."

It should be noted that the England-Azerbaijan match will start today at 20:30 at the National Gymnastics Arena.
