Mirmehdi Rzayev, a member of the Azerbaijan national minifootball team, assessed the team's progress to the next stage after their victory over Mauritania.
"Report" informs that he said they were unlucky in the first match.
M.Rzayev believes that the team's strength is even greater:
"We won, I think our strength is even greater than that. We were unlucky in the first game. Thankfully, we finished the group stage as leaders. I hope we will achieve victories and medals in the next stages as well."
"Becoming a European champion was a completely different feeling. This is different. Playing in front of our own fans is really enjoyable. I would like to thank those who support us," the football player added.
It should be noted that the Azerbaijani national team defeated Mauritania 2:0 in the last round of the group stage and qualified for the 1/8 finals.
