Elman Himayatoglu, the general manager representing Zira at the draw ceremony for the second qualifying round of the UEFA Conference League, shared his impressions of the trip.
He spoke about this to "Report".
The club official emphasized that the trip to Nyon, Switzerland was fruitful:
"The draw ceremony for European cups is very important in terms of getting acquainted with European clubs, establishing relationships, and cooperating. There is an opportunity to get acquainted and connect with many clubs. Almost all participating clubs are represented there. Sometimes even teams that will join the fight from other stages send their representatives to the preliminary stages. At the same time, it is very important to meet with the representative of the team that is our opponent as a result of the draw, to hold initial discussions, to obtain and give information, and in terms of mutual cooperation. In this regard, the trip to Nyon related to the draw ceremony was very fruitful. We are mainly in contact with Turkish clubs. For example, there were representatives from clubs such as "Beşiktaş" and "Başakşehir". On the first day of the draw, UEFA hosts a banquet for the clubs at the organization's headquarters. The UEFA president and other officials also attended the official dinner."
It should be noted that Zira will face Croatian representative Hajduk in the second qualifying round of the UEFA Conference League. The first match between the teams will be held on July 23 at the Neftchi Arena, and the return match will be held on July 31 at the Polyud Stadium in Split.
