37-year-old Ivan Rakitić will end his football career and continue his activity as the assistant sports director at the Hajduk club.
Idman.biz reports that the team's head coach Gonzalo Garcia said this in an interview with Dnevnik Nova TV.
Rakitić became the bronze medalist of the Croatian championship with Hajduk, where he scored 2 goals in 39 games last season. The Split representative, who qualified for the UEFA Conference League, will face Zira in this competition.
It should be noted that Rakitić, who spent most of his career in Barcelona and Sevilla clubs, scored 15 goals in 106 games for the Croatian national team from 2007 to 2019.
