Zinedine Zidane will be the next head coach of the French national team.
İdman.biz reports that this information has been published in the French press.
The 53-year-old specialist will replace Didier Deschamps, who announced that he will leave his post after the 2026 World Cup. Zidane has already completed negotiations with the French Football Federation.
It should be noted that Deschamps has been managing the French national team since 2012. Under his leadership, the "tricolores" won the 2018 World Cup and the 2020/21 season of the UEFA Nations League. The team lost in the final of EURO-2016 and the 2022 World Cup.
During his coaching career, Zidane worked at Real Madrid in 2016-2018 and 2019-2021. Under his leadership, the Madrid club became Spanish champion twice and won the Champions League cup three times in a row.
