Legendary French midfielder and former Real Madrid head coach Zinedine Zidane shared his memories of playing with Brazilian Ronaldo. Sport24.az reports that the veteran footballer spoke about this in an interview with L'Equipe:
"A True Phenomenon! And it's not just my opinion - he still maintains that status today. The Brazilian was truly unique. I had the honor of playing with him for a long time at Real Madrid. Ronaldo truly deserved his nickname.
He possessed all the necessary qualities while remaining an incredibly bright and cheerful person. Everyone wanted to do everything possible to be his friend. What made Ronaldo amazing was what he did in training. Sometimes teammates would stop to watch him move during training.
His ball handling in training was as impressive as in official matches."
It should be noted that he won the "Golden Ball" award twice during his career - in 1997 and 2002.
