Legendary Brazilian footballer Ze Roberto recalled one of the most difficult periods of his career and explained the reason for his failure at Real Madrid.
Idman.Biz reports that he said that he experienced failure at Real Madrid, playing games until morning, eating poorly and sleeping very little.
"I was completely obsessed with passing "Crash Bandicoot" (computer game). I came to one of the biggest clubs in the world, but I was not prepared both psychologically and tactically," said Ze Roberto.
He believes that the intensity of the game was different at Real Madrid:
"I couldn't keep up with that pace. Because of this, my performance dropped and I gained weight. This was the most physically weak period of my career.
When I realized that football is a more contact sport, I started investing more in myself. I realized that my body is my work tool and I have to take care of it every day, as if it were a car that needs maintenance every day."
