"Our national team doesn't display very interesting and dynamic football in recent games. It seems that the players can't psychologically tune themselves to the games." These words were said by Zaur Hashimov, the former football player of the Azerbaijani national team, in his statement to Sport24.az.
The expert stated that the national team members do not have a high national spirit:
"There is not much choice in terms of competition in the national team. This also affects the players. This was also evident in the game against Latvia. Both teams showed football typical of a true friendly match. We didn't have any standout players in a good way in the match against Latvia. My expectations from the match against Hungary are different. Playing at home is our advantage. We need to make the fans happy. For this, we need to be more eager than in the match in Riga. I agree with the idea that the national spirit is not high in our national team. Of course, I don't apply this to all football players. I am in favor of a local coach working in the national team."
It should be noted that the Azerbaijan-Hungary match will be held today at "Liv Bona Dea Arena". The starting whistle of the game will sound at 20:00.
