The veteran football player spoke about "Qarabag"'s 3:2 away victory over "Benfica" in the first round of the Champions League League stage:
"It was expected that "Benfica" would try to press and score quickly in the first minutes. They achieved this by scoring two goals at the start. After that, our representative recovered and started to dictate the game on the field with their own game. The high motivation and courage of the players played a big role in "Qarabag"'s victory. Despite "Benfica"'s large fan base and being 2 goals behind, the Aghdam representative was able to make a comeback. In the upcoming matches, opponents will take "Qarabag" more seriously. But this game showed that "Qarabag" can compete with any opponent."
It should be noted that "Qarabag" will play its next League stage match against Danish representative "Copenhagen" in Baku on October 1.
