"Our negotiations with "Khankendi" had been going on for some time, but we could not find common ground. Finally, we agreed yesterday and signed an official contract." These words were said by the new head coach of "Khankendi" Zaur Hajiyev in his statement to Sport24.az.
The specialist, who has a category B coaching license, spoke about the goals of his new team:
"Khankendi is our historical city. The team that bears its name should play in higher leagues. We must represent both our country and our city properly. It is a responsible job for me. I am glad that my name will be in the history of the team. I realize that there is a team with First League experience in the championship, such as "Garadagh Lokbatan". We are planning to make several transfers. There will be changes in the team's coaching staff, structure and football staff."
It should be noted that Zaur Hajiyev last worked as an assistant coach at "Karvan-Yevlakh".
