"Zaqatala" head coach Rustam Mammadov talks about the team's financial problems and position in the standings

"The team did not perform badly after the winter break. Although we lost the match against "Sabail", it was successful in terms of the game." These words were said by the head coach of "Zaqatala" Rustam Mammadov in his statement to Sport24.az.

The young expert spoke about the financial problems in the team:

"The match with "Mingachevir" can also be added to this list. Later, certain problems arose in the team. Several players left the team. We also had a financial problem. Now everything is slowly returning to normal. This problem mainly started in the second round, during the winter break. The club management knows the reason. In addition to the money allocated to us by AFFA, some sponsors helped the team. We faced problems because some of those payments were reduced. The start was not successful. Currently, the boys are trying to get out of this situation and recover. We are entering the final round of the championship. We want to collect a lot of points in the remaining games and finish the season in a higher position. Our position in the standings does not satisfy us. The reason for this is the high potential of the players. We hope that we can finish the season in the top five." 

It should be noted that "Zaqatala" is in the 7th place with 22 points after 19 rounds in the First League.
