Ukrainian coach Yuri Vernidub has reached a final agreement with "Neftchi" after lengthy negotiations.
Idman.Biz, citing journalist Igor Burbas, reports that the parties have agreed to sign a contract for 1.5 years instead of the previously discussed short-term option.
According to sources, Y. Vernidub's salary in Baku will be approximately $50,000 per month. This figure makes the Ukrainian specialist one of the highest-paid coaches in the Azerbaijan Premier League.
It is worth remembering that due to the military situation, there is a restriction on men leaving Ukraine before the age of 60. Vernidub will reach this age on January 22, 2026. However, according to a number of media outlets, he has obtained special permission to leave Ukraine.
