Ukrainian famous football expert Yuri Vernidub will come to Baku in the near future to sign a contract with the "Neftchi" club.
According to Idman.Biz, citing the Ukrainian media, Vernidub has agreed to coach the Baku club, and he will arrive in the capital of Azerbaijan as early as Saturday, November 29.
It should be noted that the 59-year-old specialist was one of the main candidates for the head coach position in "Neftchi" after the resignation of Samir Abasov. However, the Ukrainian press reported that Vernidub's departure abroad was restricted due to the introduction of martial law in the country. Because in Ukraine, persons of conscription age up to 60 years are prohibited from leaving the country. People who have not reached this age can go abroad only with special permission.
Previously, Vernidub himself stated that he did not intend to leave Ukraine until he reached the age of 60 or obtained special permission. It seems that the 59-year-old specialist has obtained this permission.
In addition, after the XII round of the Azerbaijan Premier League, the "Neftchi" club is in eighth place in the tournament table.
