Yuri Syomin, the former head coach of the Gabala club, shared his thoughts on the idea of tightening restrictions on foreign players.
Idman.biz reports that earlier, Russian Sports Minister Mikhail Degtyarev announced plans to limit the number of foreigners on the field in the RPL to five players, with 10 in the club application, starting in 2028.
"Any restrictions against foreigners have never bothered me. We have always trained our players. The best athletes perform in sports. I believe that the strongest players should always enter the football field. If everyone likes it, then such a decision should be made," RIA Novosti Sport quotes Semin as saying.
