Yunus Huseynov, the coach of "Turan Tovuz," who stopped competing in the tournament after a 0:0 draw with "Zira" in the return match of the semi-final stage of the Azerbaijan Cup, shared his thoughts after the match. The experienced specialist expressed his strong dissatisfaction with the refereeing in both matches.
Idman.Biz reports that Huseynov stated that his team did everything they could to win today and were the stronger side on the field.
He noted that the mistakes in the first match also negatively affected the return match, emphasizing that the Tovuz representative actually deserved a ticket to the final:
"Today we wanted to win, and you saw that we were the stronger side in the game. They robbed us in the last match. We should have been the team that rightfully won a ticket to the final. The referee's mistakes in the last game also affected today's match. The rights of so many suffering football players were violated."
It should be reminded that "Turan Tovuz," who lost the first match with a score of 0:2, could not qualify for the final based on the results of the two games.
