A rare football event occurred in the match between the representatives of the Turkish Second League. Sport24.az reports that, according to the Turkish press, the "Yeni Malatyaspor" - "İsparta 32 Spor" match, scheduled within the 14th round of the Second League, was postponed before it started.
The reason for this was the inability of the home team to gather enough players for the squad.
Thus, 7 football players of "Yeni Malatyaspor" were punished within the framework of the investigation conducted by the Turkish Football Federation regarding betting games. Due to the presence of injured players, the team was forced to appear on the field with only 7 people.
The club's sports director, Sinan Alkış, met with the referee and stated that they could not form the required 11-man squad to start the game. After that, the referee announced that the match would not be played and canceled the match.
