"Imishli, who won promotion to the Premier League, brought in a Portuguese specialist for the head coach position. The club's capabilities are not that high. If they had a good budget, they would not ask AFFA for help with the stadium." These words were said by football expert Yashar Seyidov to Sport24.az.
The experienced specialist commented on the invitation of Portuguese Jorge Casquilha to the head coach position of "Imishli", who won promotion to the elite:
"The money given by AFFA should be forbidden to be spent on foreign specialists. The state provides enough support for the development of our football, which is in a difficult situation. Unfortunately, the funds intended for development are spent on foreign coaches and legionary footballers who do not benefit our football. All this is due to the unprofessionalism of managers in the clubs. Everyone is eyeing the funds provided by the state. AFFA should put an end to this. The Football Development Fund should also monitor it. The contract signed between FIF and the clubs should stipulate that the funds provided by the state should be forbidden to be given to foreign players and head coaches. This money should be paid by the club's sponsors. If a decision is not made, unprofessional people will continue to waste the state's money."
It should be noted that Jorge Casquilha has coached the clubs "Santa Maria", "Valdevez", "Merelinense", "Moreyrense", "Leixões", "União Leiria", "Académico Viseu", "União Madeira", "Gil Vicente", "Cova Piedade" and "Trofense" so far.
