Atletico Madrid defender Jose Maria Gimenez has strongly criticized the club for playing with an excessively tight schedule. Sport24.az reports that the footballer made a statement to Marca about this:
"It's time to rest. This is unacceptable. We are putting ourselves at risk, we are like clowns in a circus and we play when they tell us to play."
It should be noted that Atletico defeated Real Sociedad 3-2 in La Liga yesterday. On Tuesday, the Madrid club will face Tottenham in the 1/8 finals of the Champions League.
