Xesus Areso, a football player of the Spanish club Athletic (Bilbao), has assessed the importance of the upcoming matches, including the match against Qarabag from Aghdam in the third round of the Champions League group stage.
Idman.biz reports with reference to "Diario AS" that the 26-year-old football player emphasized that the match to be held at the end of October will be decisive for his team.
"Our next opponents are Elche and Qarabag. I think it's important to rest a little, but at the same time we shouldn't lose concentration. These games are very important. Both the match with Elche and the match against Qarabag will in a sense determine our future," the Spanish football player emphasized.
It should be reminded that the match between Athletic and Qarabag will be held on October 22 in Bilbao. Gurban Gurbanov's team is the leader of the tournament table with six points, while Ernesto Valverde's students are in 34th place without points.
In the Spanish championship, Athletic is in eighth place after eight rounds with 13 points. At the same time, Qarabag also scored 13 points after seven games and is in third place in the Azerbaijan Premier League.
