Former Spanish national team and Barcelona midfielder Xavi has named the favorite and best player of the upcoming World Cup next year. Sport24.az reports that the former head coach of the Catalan club made a statement about this to "Sky Sports".
Xavi stated that Spain will be the winner of the tournament. The veteran footballer believes that Barcelona's 18-year-old winger, Lamine Yamal, will be the top scorer and best player of the 2026 World Cup. Xavi believes that Morocco will be the team that will surprise everyone in the tournament. The Spanish footballer has chosen 22-year-old Catalan central midfielder Pedri as the best young player.
It should be noted that the 2026 World Cup will be held in the USA, Mexico and Canada in June and July.
