"Khankendi", which qualified for the II League as the winner of the Regional League, has had an excellent start to the championship, despite being a debutant. The team, coached by Turkish specialist Ibrahim Uzuncan, defeated "Dinamo" with 4 unanswered goals in the first round, and on Sunday suffered the same fate to "Guba".
Idman.biz reports that the young midfielder of the Karabakh representative, Adem Topalov, shared his thoughts on the successful start in an interview with Fanat.Az:
"We won with a score of 4:0 in two consecutive games. It may seem from the outside that we have achieved an easy victory. But this is not the case. Our opponents are trying to win as much as we are. It's just that our team is made up of more experienced players, especially since we have players with scoring feet in our front line, we are able to convert the opportunities we get into goals and gain an advantage. We will have many games ahead. You can't relax. Our head coach repeats this over and over. We will try to perform better and better from game to game. As for myself, I am the youngest player of "Khankendi". Thanks to the coach, he gives me a chance. I'm trying to justify his trust. True, there was a bit of excitement in the first rounds. Gradually, I will try to put that feeling aside and play better, be useful to my team, and learn from our experienced players."
It should be noted that "Khankendi" will be the guest of "Agstafa Gencleri" in the 3rd round.
