Midfielder Luka Modrić is very likely to stay at the Santiago Bernabéu. Xabi Alonso wants the Croatian to extend his contract.
According to Lent.az, citing foreign media, the winner of the 2018 Ballon d'Or may leave Real in the summer. Modrić's contract with the Madrid club is valid until June 30. He is expected to meet with Florentino Pérez soon to discuss his future and is ready to take a pay cut.
Modrić joined Real before the 2012/13 season. Xabi Alonso spent two years with the Croatian at the Bernabeu. Last year, the experienced midfielder signed a 1-year contract with the Royal Club.
