"Real" coach Xabi Alonso commented on the victory over "Marseille" (2:1) in the first match of the Champions League group stage and talked about the team's performance and the victory achieved after being reduced to ten men. Sport24.az reports that the Spanish expert, speaking to "UEFA", said that he was satisfied with the team's fight:
"This match was incredibly exciting. We were very impressive in the first half hour. Our pressing was fantastic, we created a lot of scoring chances. We should have taken the lead, but instead we conceded a goal. I think the game evened out after that. We stopped creating as many scoring chances as before. But I really liked that we kept working until the red card. After that we managed to score more goals. In any case, we won a very important victory."
