Real Madrid coach Xabi Alonso has shared his thoughts on how he works with winger Vinicius Junior.
Idman.Biz reports that Alonso emphasized the relationship of mutual understanding and trust he has built with Junior.
"My relationship with Vinicius is very good. Vini is considered a key player and there is mutual trust between us. We talk before games: he knows what I think, and I know what he thinks. This is the best way to make decisions together," Alonso said on TNT Sports Brasil.
The Brazilian footballer remains a key figure in the Madrid club's attack, and the coach's confidence emphasizes his importance in Real's current project.
It was previously reported that negotiations to extend Junior's contract with Real Madrid had stalled. It was noted that this was due to the player's conflict with head coach Xabi Alonso.
It was claimed that the conflict between Vinicius and Alonso arose due to the player's substitution in the second half of the 2:1 defeat against Barcelona in the 10th round of La Liga. The Brazilian then strongly expressed his anger at the coach's decision.
