Real Madrid head coach Xabi Alonso has praised the progress of Turkish midfielder Arda Guler. Sport24.az reports that the Spanish specialist told AS that he expects more from the midfielder:
"Arda is developing in every way. He is only 20 years old. Considering his age and quality, we must support him. He needs to improve a little in decision-making and pressing. But I should also emphasize that he has many good qualities. He brings a lot of color to the game. When he plays, the team's dynamics are better. I am very pleased with his progress, but we want more. Virts was the same at Bayer. He is young, but already a great player - he is still developing, at a very high level."
This season, Guler has made 18 appearances for Real Madrid in all tournaments, scoring 4 goals and providing 7 assists.
The Turkish player's current contract with the club runs until the summer of 2029. The Transfermarkt portal estimates the player's market value at 60 million euros.
