Former Monaco forward Wissam Ben Yedder, who has been accused of rape since the summer of 2023, will face trial. Sport24.az reports that this was reported by the publication "L'Equipe".
Yesterday, the judge issued an indictment. Wissam Ben Yedder and his brother Sabri will soon be charged in the Alpes-Maritimes Criminal Court with "rape", "attempted rape" and "sexual assault".
Both brothers have been under formal investigation since the summer of 2023 following complaints from two young women about incidents in a rented apartment near Monaco.
It is worth noting that Ben Yedder was the captain of "Monaco" at the time of the alleged incidents. The striker currently plays for the Turkish club "Sakaryaspor".
