German club "Verder" has officially announced the dismissal of head coach Horst Steffen. This decision was made after a long winless streak in the Bundesliga.
İdman.Biz reports that the Bremen team drew 1:1 with Borussia (Mönchengladbach) in the 20th round of the Bundesliga. This result was the 10th consecutive winless match for "Verder" in the championship. The team last won on November 7.
Horst Steffen joined "Verder" last summer after leaving "Elversberg". Under his leadership, the Bremen club played 20 games in the Bundesliga, winning four, drawing seven, and losing nine.
The winless streak and the unstable position in the league table prompted the club management to make a decision regarding a change of head coach.
