"Our games with Jabrayil have always been difficult. This time, we also wanted to win and increase our point reserve in the tournament table, but unfortunately, it didn't work out." These words were said to Sport24.az by Rahid Amirguliyev, the president and captain of the First League representative "Shahdag Gusar".
The experienced football player shared his thoughts on his team's draw with Jabrayil in the 22nd round of the First League yesterday:
"I wouldn't say we lost 3 points. Both teams could have won. We had opportunities to score goals, but we couldn't capitalize on them. I think the fair result of the match was a draw."
The 36-year-old football player also made a statement about his career:
"The end of the season is near. It is not yet known whether I will continue my career next year. In general, our plans for the next season have not been clarified. We would like our team to compete for the championship next season. There is still time ahead. Currently, our main goal is to improve our position in the tournament table by collecting points."
