After "Khankendi" qualifies for the Azerbaijan First League, it may be able to hold its home games at the Khankendi city stadium.
This was reported by Rashad Babayev, manager of the "Khankendi" football club.
The official of the team, which is currently the main contender for the championship in the Second League, noted that they are in a waiting position regarding the stadium.
"The Khankendi city stadium will be put into use by local clubs after major repairs. The stadium's renovation process has been delayed," he said in a statement to futbolinfo.az.
Babayev added: "We need to reach an agreement regarding the use of the stadium. Only after that can we say for sure that "Khankendi" will be able to hold its home games in the First League at the Khankendi city stadium. But it is too early to talk about this, because the reconstruction work is not completed."
He stated that if the repair and construction work is not completed in the summer, the club will have to find a temporary stadium.
