The atmosphere has soured in the "Sumgayit" camp, which lost to "Kapaz" away yesterday in the 34th round of the Premier League. According to Sport24.az, the club's management cannot digest the team's fall to 9th place.
Although officials expected the team's head coach Vagif Javadov to resign at the press conference held after yesterday's meeting, the 35-year-old specialist, on the contrary, indirectly asked the management to give him another year: "I will support whatever decision the management makes. If I stay here next season, you can say something about my work."
It is almost clear whether Javadov will remain in his post. Due to the team's unsuccessful performance, the club's bosses are not interested in cooperating with him. The only question that worries everyone now is: will Javadov leave the "chemists" on his own accord, or will he be sent to resignation?
The answer to this question will be clear tomorrow, or more precisely, after the meeting with the management.
It should be noted that Javadov's current contract with "Sumgayit" is valid until June 2027.
