Former French national team striker Karim Benzema has not ruled out a return to the national team before the 2026 World Cup.
Idman.Biz reports that the 37-year-old Al-Ittihad striker announced the end of his career with the national team in 2022.
"If they invite me (to the national team), I will come. Who wouldn't want to play in the World Cup? Everyone wants to participate in this competition. If I said I didn't want to, I would be a liar," L'Équipe quoted Benzema as saying.
Benzema played 97 games for the national team in all competitions, scored 37 goals and made 20 assists.
