To the question "Why didn't you return even though you received an invitation from the club after Alexander Storozhuk's resignation from Krasnodar?" he answered: "I was already working in "Sabah". There were big changes for the better in the club, the management fulfilled everything they promised. The base was being built, the stadium was being rebuilt. Most importantly, the team was playing very good football. There was such unity inside that we enjoyed every training session!
I was surrounded by good people in Azerbaijan, so I couldn't leave. After making the team a silver medalist, taking them to European Cups, and completing a certain stage, I already understood that I could leave. But when this offer came, I couldn't do it. No matter how good the offers were, I had to finish that season."
