"Qarabag appealed to us, we refused." These words were said to Sport24.az by Rustam Afsarli, media coordinator of "Neftchi".
The club official confirmed that they did not agree to postpone their match with "Qarabag" in the Misli Premier League:
"The team has a preparation plan, and postponing the game, moving it to another time, can negatively affect our preparation plan. The team has a goal. Therefore, we think that the best thing is for the match to be held at the time scheduled in the calendar."
It should be noted that "Qarabag" will play its first match in the play-off stage of the UEFA Champions League against "Newcastle" in Baku on February 18. Agdam will face "Neftchi" on February 21, and "Newcastle" in England on February 24.
