"Sumgayit"'s search for a new head coach continues. According to information obtained by Sport24.az, the management of the "chemists" actually wanted to finalize this issue last week. However, they changed their minds at the last moment.
According to information passed to us from a source close to the club, officials of the "city of youth" were about to reach an agreement with the Ukrainian head coach. However, disagreements arose during the negotiations. The "Sumgayit" management did not accept some, especially financial, conditions of the Ukrainian, whose name they did not disclose for ethical reasons. And for this reason, the negotiation process was stopped before it moved to a formal level.
It should be noted that the "chemists", who finished last season in 8th place in the league table, were left without a head coach after Vagif Javadov left.
