The draw for the intercontinental play-off stage of WC-2026 has been held. According to Sport24.az, two more teams that will participate in the World Cup will be determined after these games.
WC-2026 play-off stages:
1st path
Semifinal: New Caledonia - Jamaica.
Final: Winner of the semifinal - Democratic Republic of Congo.
2nd path
Semifinal: Bolivia - Suriname.
Final: Winner of the semifinal - Iraq.
All matches will be held in March 2026 in Mexico, in the cities that will host the World Cup - Guadalajara and Monterrey.
It should be noted that the 2026 World Cup will be held in the USA, Canada and Mexico from June 11 to July 19. The 48 participating teams will be divided into 12 groups. The teams that take first and second place, as well as the best eight teams that take third place, will qualify for the play-off stage.
