After the first matches of the WC-2026 qualifying stage, the probabilities of the Azerbaijan national team's position in Group D have been updated. Sport24.az reports that the "Football Meests Data" forecast has been put forward in this regard.
The chance of our team finishing last in the group has increased to 92 percent. Our probability of taking third place is 7 percent, and the probability of finishing second is 0.5 percent.
It should be noted that the Azerbaijan national team lost to Iceland by five unanswered goals in the first match of the WC-2026 qualifying round. The team will host Ukraine on September 9.
